they made the right decision. it looked like a tough one because hawkins can play. hawkins would still be a good guy to have on your team though. he reminds me of sproles for the chargers, and i think he could play a similiar role on a team; catching screens, returning kicks, etc. he even showed he can cover on special teams as well.

Cograds to Jesse Holley on his achievement. We all know that Andrew Hawkins will be one a NFL soon after. No one can just over look the talent that he shows throughout this season. He will be picked up and has nothing to worry about. I wish that both of them could of got picked though. But congrads to BOTH of the WRs on making it as far as they did.

Hawkins out performed everyone on every task, he should have been the one. Not to down Holley, he is a top receiver, but the facts show that Hawkins outperformed him throughout the show.

You Jesse Holley fans are missing the point. Holley will not play ever. He might have been a slightly better receiver but he couldn't beat out the top 4 receivers the Cowboys have. He can't return kickoffs as well the other Cowboys players. He won't have a strength advantage over other NFL players. There is a reason he got cut by the Bengals and didn't make it in the Canadian league. Hawkins at the very least would have played special teams because he is faster and can tackle and make moves better than most receivers and db's. All I can say is wrong choice on Irvin's part.

i cannot believe holley won!!!!!!! Hes a great reciever but he doesnt contribute to the cowboys enough as hawkins would From the first episode he stood out as the fastest, quickest and most dominant player. HE won almost every challenge and would be fitted for more positions then holley, if holley makes the team he'll be a sorry special teamer and an okay backup wr who wll never see the field but hawk is the complete package and if he isnt signed by an nfl team its a waste of a tremendous amount of talent. Irvin i gotta lot of respect for u but come on man right before the final elimination u said that hawkins is what u needed and he was the guy u were lookin for then u picked holley. i thaught he was the winner and im really let down. IM 80% SURE THAT HOLLEY WILL BE CUT IN NO TIME. Hawk good luck man u motivated me and i loook up to u as a football player and as someone with a size problem. dont stop chasin ur dream ur the man.

wrong choice. I guarantee there's at least a couple other NFL teams that are glad to see they picked Holley. Why would they be glad? b/c they wouldn't want to face Hawkins. Did everyone close their eyes while Hawkins made people miss and ended up returning 35+ yards on kickoffs when he had almost nothing? Did everyone close their eyes when Hawkins got an 8 yard rush that should have been stopped before the line of scrimmage. How bout the fact that Holley was favored and passed to all game...doesn't make him a better player, all those times Hawkins was open too
just can't wait until Holley is sitting on the bench while Hawkins plays half of the game for a more deserving team...you lost out Dallas

It looks like Irvin went with size over top talent. Holley made good plays but, I really thought that Hawkins was the guy to be picked. Hawkins outhustled everyone but, it is hard to not choose the bigger taller guy that can jump and go get the ball. I'm not saying that Hawkins is better, I'm saying that Holley is bigger and that Holley will have an easier time adjusting to better players than the practice players they went up against in the show. Irvin can not make a fool of himself if Hawkins couldn't adjust. I think we will see Hawkins somewhere.

Honestly Holley is a beast. The only real thing the big game proved is that Holley could beast against Eddie Moten and Ahmad Smith. The question is will Holley be able to produce besides at WR? My opinion is no. Hawkins is a true beast and fierce competitor. I didn't like the way they framed the big game to make it look like Holley was beasting when Hawkins was acting as an overall roundabout player. The thing that I think sealed the deal for Holley and not Hawkins was the fumble at the end of the game. As I remember from previous episodes, Ahmad Smith and Dante Gamble have stripped Hawkins of the ball before. In the end, Hawkins was the best on the show but Holley had more to offer to the Cowboys. It goes back to the old saying: Football is a game and a sport but the NFL is a business. In business, you have to take everything into consideration including those b.s. things like size and ability. Hawkins played both sides in college. He was effective but he wasn't a stand out. Holley stood out at receiver and Irvin, Coach Jo and Bill Bates think that if something happens at receiver, the Cowboys use him. Holley may not have been the right choice but he was the best choice. Congrats Holley! Hope to see you in KC on 10/11.

Holley dominated in his blocking, dragging feet, jump ball, getting through jams, and having targets on back. Plus he never got hurt or blamed a injury for poor performance like the rest of these wussies. Hawkins dropped the ball in his super bowl and you want to reward him?Ha. The dbs were drug the entire show and all recievers showed signs of weakness at some point except for winner. Hawkins blocking NFL dbs?

Do I think that Holley isn't football material? No. I think that he is a great talent, and that he will produce well for Dallas. Do I think that he is better than Hawkins? Not by a long shot. If Hawkins isn't picked up by someone, and Detroit defintely comes to mind, then I would be shocked. Both men played well, both men proved that they have what it takes, but I think that Holley will be shown up, again, by Hawkins, come any given Sunday should they meet again.

i'm a die hard raiders fan. my best friend is a cowboy fan, so i watch all the episodes with him and i told him hawkins and holley should of gone to the cowboys. michael irvin should of called it a draw. because if you look at it holley is a possesion rec , tall and strong with good hands better than some of the cowboys recs only roy williams and patrick crayton are there holley would fit nice. but hawkins reminds me of a dante hall, kick return, punt ret, slot rec, and a gunner something cowboys also need stanback is not good and hurd is garbage. so "OAKLAND RAIDERS" PLEASE GO AND PICK UP HAWKINS AS A PUNT RET/KICK RETURN/PASS CATCHING RB. now if i had to pick 1 only it would've been hawkins "GAME BREAKER"

I believe Irvin made a safe choice with Holley. He just fits the bill of another dime a dozen receiver that will fit perfectly into a 4th or 5th WR depth chart. If he makes it into preseason, he may move up a slot to 3rd but thats it. To his credit he did make some great plays, against SCRUBS. The DB's tried their best Im sure, but not one of them was the in the same class of athlete as Hawkins, or Holley. Having a taller receiver with moderate talent against Molten (whatever his name, we won't see him again) or Mo Wash, is just a big stat day for the wr/qb. Holley doesn't have the speed or agility to compete against the top NFL DB's, Hawkins on the other hand, can easily handle a majority of the db's in the league now, unfinished.
Hawk is scary fast, agile and smart. But he's short and may have handle issues, but ball handling can be fixed (Barber, RB Giants changed hand grip.)
I believe Hawkins was the better football player, and will make a great receiver/player when he gets his shot.
Side note...WTF was with the DB's.... Smith was decent, but out of all the people they screened they came up with people like Washington and worse....?

Hello all! I hope you enjoyed the last episode as much as I did, this was a fun and entertaining show. To try and dispute who won or who should have won is a moot point. It was always my belief that Coach Joe, Bill Bates, and MI would make the right choice. Remember, this is a reality show and we were showed only what was intended for us to see to keep us all guessing, otherwise this show would have not been so rewarding in the end. I think they did a great job overall to keep us all guessing and glued to our widescreens to see what unfolded. Isn't that what it's all about? I'm hoping this show runs as long as the Simpsons, we'll have an awesome show to watch. GREAT job, MI, Coach Joe, and Bill Bates!!!!!

They made the right choice. Holley is bigger, stronger, can catch over their double teams, pushes through the DBs like they were weak. Hawkins is a special team player. He still has a chance to get invited to the team where he can work out with the other 40 players that will be cut by late August. But Holley is a big tough receiver. I think you could even see him on game day this fall. We'll watch this one develop but I think they have a good player.

everyone that doubts Holley is looney! Hawkins is a decent player, fast, agile, but he never showed up for the games. They wanted a player who could perform at game time and thats what Holley did every time, more catches more yards and was definately the best at his position. You have to hold on to the ball you have to make big plays and be the beast they want. And P.S Holley didnt get many oppurtunities at Special Teams besides tackles which he did and well. So Mike you made the right choice and i chose Holley at the start of the season. Best wishes to Hawkins and Smith. Hawkins you will be picked up by someone just for special teams only though, but hey Steve Smith isnt very big either and thats where he started out. So go Carolina and good luck Holley go kick some a#@.

Didn't Hawkins fumble the damn ball on the final kick off? All he had to do was take a knee. The O would have won. But Hawkins, being Mr. Speedy trying to impress the coaches, fumbled the ball on a kick off he shouldnt have returned, and they lost the game with Zero seconds left. And whoever that white boy was doing front flip dives into the endzone for the Defense was nasty. They should sign dude too. Hawkins, nice talent... but you don't fumble the football on the final kick off. Im sorry. He's lucky they didnt send him home before the final 3. He would of been first to go in my book. Coack said it best.. its not about how many great plays you make... its about that one bone head fumble that cost the offense the game and ultimately his chance as a Cowboy. This the Cowboys.. not High School Harry..lol

Guys not even talking about Smith. Smith was better than Hawkins. Mike asked Smith to step it up on the final play. He came through. He delivered. That's what makes a great player. Especially on defense. I would sign Holley, and sign Smith. I would offer Hawkins some camp time. But Dallas needs DBs and WRs. The show wasn't about finding a special Special teams player. And besides. Hawkins would get distroyed carrying the ball on a kick off against the NY Giants. Soon as Hawkins would touch the ball in a real game.. I would start praying for the guy.

Wrong Choice.
It's truly sad to see that Andrew Hawkins was not chosen to be a Dallas Cowboy. Not only did he completely outplay his comrades on this show, but he displayed enough potential to make it appear as if he'd make it onto ANY NFL team. I could actually envision Hawkins getting ample PLAYING TIME in the league, but on the flip side I don't see Jesse Holley even making it into September. Either way, congratulations to him, he's a good guy.
Bill Belichick could use a return man, a gunner, and a Welker replacement on his New England Patriots. So, don't be surprised to see Andrew Hawkins signing on with New England.

OK let's all be real here. NONE of these players are ready to start. These are all prospects playing against practice squads so if they looked good, consider what they were playing against. And while I liked Holley throughout the entire show, he is not ready either. The one long ball he caught he jumped before the snap and that would have been brought back. He also spiked the ball after the reception in the middle of the field that would have also brought it back and negated his catch. Don't get me wrong, I like him as I did Hawkins, but these guys are not ready to start right off the bat. Would I have liked to see Hawkins get to go to training camp too? Sure I would. Would he have really made a difference? No one really knows as we were only shown some of what went on and again he was playing aginst practice squad talent. All I know is this show is a hell of a lot better than watching nlf network reruns of games I already know the outcome of! lol

Hawkins was the best choice to make if it were me he could lose defenders no problem. Holley was my second choice and i kinda knew he would take it (because of his size) Smith was the best DB but i think he needs to work on his mental a little cause he has all the physical and athletic attributes. Hawkins though from what we saw and what the coaches said was by far the best. He looked like a pro playing among high schoolers and dominated in speed and how suprisingly strong he was in the Ring the Bell drill in the second to last episode (look it up). But Holley still won and all in all he will make it to the season opener, but this show only made me a Hawkins fan. Hope he gets picked up by another team soon cause i cant wait to see him blow by defenses in the NFL.

Man what a show! I knew it was down to Holley and Hawkins and although my heart went for Hawkins by head said Holley. He's bigger and athletic and unfortunately a little guy has to do exceptionally well to make and I have seen short guys who played pro football but they were as thick around as they were tall. Hawkins is short and only weighs 175. Can't really play in the NFL at 175 5 foot 7. Can't really play a long time that is. One day somebody will deliver the blow that knocks him up in the seats somewhere and then he is out for the season. With Holley you have more of an insurance package that injuries will probably not occur as easily. The proof was in the pudding though. When it was on the line Hawkins small hands gave up that critical fumble that resulted in them losing the game. That's the fact. They lost because he fumbled. I had a cousin the same size and probably a little faster than Hawkins. Played division A ball but those small hands hurt him when catching in traffic and when holding on to the ball is most important, the fourth quarter when you are tired and beat up. Mike Irvin had to pick Holley to defend himself. If Holley doesn't make it it won't be MI's fault. I love Hawkins but size matters doesn't it ladies and gentlemen? LOL! Go Holley and Go Hawkins good luck to both.
